Keith Weisheit- Bayou Time Live

Keith M. Weisheit, LCSW began his hosting career in 2012 with HTV 10 on Bayou Time Live.
Keith received his BA in Psychology in 1991 from Nicholls State University and went on to complete his MSW (Master of Social Work) degree from Southern University at New Orleans in 1993. He completed the requirements through the Louisiana State Board of Social Work Examiners to become a Board-Certified Social Worker in May of 1997. Keith has been trained in Neuro-Linguistic Programming, which he began as a test subject while completing his undergraduate degree.
Keith is currently a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who worked for Terrebonne General Medical Center for 15 years. He has been a Home Health Consultant for the last 12 years and currently works with Kindred at Home, formerly Synergy Home Care, where he is a Sales Consultant calling on area doctors and hospitals. He has done public speaking for all his professional career and he’s thankful to be able to utilize his background in theater. He was a cheerleader in both high school and college and enjoys helping to motivate others.
Keith was very proud to serve as President of the Volunteer Bayou Region Council of the Alzheimer’s Association. He started the first Alzheimer’s Support group in the Houma-Terrebonne area in 1991; that group still meets monthly and has served as a catalyst for the appreciation and understanding that Keith has for persons and families affected by that disease. NOSOTROS, a Cancer Support Group, through Mary Bird Perkins at TGMC, has become a passionate journey as he facilitates the understanding and recovery of cancer related issues. He has recently become a consultant to Haydel Memorial Hospice to provide end-of-life care and support to those patients and families dealing with death and dying.
Lastly, he has been able to expand his educational focus by hosting a weekly, live call-in show for HTV in Houma with a Self-Help Segment on Thursdays.
Keith grew up in Houma and credits his family for helping him understand the importance of helping others.
