January 11, 2019 (Update)

 

            Sheriff Jerry Larpenter said that on Friday evening, Jan. 11, 2019, Terrebonne Parish deputies responded to an anonymous tip that led to apprehending a Murder Suspect.

            Deputies responded to the 100 block of David Dr. of the Ashland South Subdivision. The suspect, Kaegan Jude Solet, was found hiding behind a mobile home inside of a shed. Solet was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Sheriff’s Office. 

            Kaegan Jude Solet, age 39, Houma, La. was arrested on a 32nd JDC Arrest Warrant for Second degree Murder. Solet remains in the Terrebonne Parish Criminal Justice Complex on a $1,000.000.00 bond.

January 10, 2019 (Update)

            Sheriff Jerry Larpenter said that Terrebonne Parish detectives continuously investigated the murder of Kemple Paul Scott Lovell that occurred on Jan. 9, 2019.

            TPSO detectives have obtained a Second Degree Murder arrest warrant for Kaegan Jude Solet, birth date 7/08/1979. Solet was last seen in the Houma area.

            Anyone with information regarding this investigation or the location of Solet is encouraged to call Terrebonne Parish detectives, (985)876-2500, or Crime Stoppers, 1(800)743-7433, and may become eligible for a cash reward. 

January 9, 2019 

            Sheriff Jerry Larpenter said that on Wednesday morning, Jan.9, 2019, at approx. 5:40 a.m. Terrebonne Parish deputies and detectives responded to the 100 block of Synergy Center Blvd. Houma in reference to an unresponsive man.

            Deputies arrived on scene and located a man with stab wounds to his body. The lifeless body of the man was transported to the Terrebonne Parish Coroner’s Office where he was positively identified as Kemple Paul Scott Lovell, age 41, of Houma, La.

            TPSO detectives are in the beginning stages of this Homicide Investigation and asking for anyone with information to call the Terrebonne Parish Sheriff’s Office, (985)876-2500 or Crime Stoppers, 1(800)743-7433, and may become eligible for a cash reward up to $1,000.00. The caller can report the information anonymously and still be eligible for the reward.
