Colonel Terry Daigre said that on Wednesday, Feb. 13, 2019, Terrebonne Parish deputies responded to the 500 block of La. Highway 55 Montegut, La. in reference to a domestic violence complaint.

The complainant stated that a 57 year old resident, who just recently had open heart surgery, was being severely abused by his 28 year old son. Deputies arrived at this location and contacted the victim who had two black eyes with a swollen nose that appeared to be broken among other obvious injuries to his body. The victim was immediately taken out of this environment and transported to the Sheriff’s Office in order to continue this investigation.

The suspect Ryan Anthony Henry, age 28, 507 La. Highway 55 Montegut, La. was arrested on arrest warrants for failure to appear in court and theft. He was transported to the Terrebonne Parish Criminal Justice Complex and booked on these charges.

Detectives interviewed the victim and learned that this abuse had been occurring over the past few months but the victim was afraid to report it. The victim was recently beaten unconscious and left bleeding on the floor whereas a witness entered the residence and observed Henry as he stood over the victim with a knife. Henry allegedly cut the victim’s pants from the bottom up to his waist and stole his wallet.

At the conclusion of this interview the victim went to a local hospital in order to seek medical attention for his injuries. After further investigation Ryan Anthony Henry was arrested for Second degree battery and armed robbery. He remains in the TPCJC on a $100,000.00 bond.
