Suspect arrested for rape

Chief Dana T. Coleman and Parish President Gordon Dove announces the arrest of Paul Nosworthy for charges related to 3rd Degree Rape and Sexual Battery.
On February 4th, Houma Police detectives received a report of a sexual assault that occurred approximately 2 yrs. ago. During the investigation it was discovered that two female victims, between the age of 16-21, were assaulted by a relative. Detectives learned that the assault occurred over the past two years.
As the investigation continued, Houma Police interviewed the victims and were able to identify the suspect as Paul Nosworthy-37 yrs. old of Tulsa Avenue. Houma Police, at the conclusion of their investigation were able to secure an arrest warrant on Nosworthy through the 32nd Judicial District Court for 3rd Degree Rape and Sexual Battery.
On this date, shortly after 9am, Houma Police detectives located Paul Nosworthy on Tulsa Avenue and took him into custody. After a brief interview with Nosworthy at the Houma Police Department he was arrested per warrant for 3rd Degree Rape and Sexual Battery. Paul Nosworthy was then transported to the Terrebonne parish Criminal Justice Complex to be booked and jailed to await bond or court.
