Jefferson named to CoSIDA First Team Academic All-District

AUSTIN, Texas – Nicholls State University graduate transfer Jeremiah Jefferson was listed as a first team member on the 2018-19 Google Cloud Academic All-District® Men’s Basketball Team, selected by CoSIDA, as the groups were released Thursday by the organization.
Jefferson joined Drake’s Nick McGlynn, Iowa State’s Michael Jacobson, LSU’s Skylar Mays and UCA’s Hayden Koval on the first team in District 6, which consisted of candidates from Arkansas, Iowa, Louisiana, Minnesota, Missouri, Mississippi, North Dakota, South Dakota and Wisconsin. As a first team member, Jefferson will automatically advance to the Google Cloud Academic All-America® ballot, which will be revealed mid-March.
Jefferson, a Dallas, Texas, native, finished with a 3.84 GPA in urban studies at Jackson State University and boasts a 4.0 GPA as a master’s candidate in higher education leadership at Nicholls. On the court he leads the Colonels with 15.6 points per game and 76 3-pointers, a number that ranks atop the Southland and 56th in Division I.
