Terrebonne Parish – In October of 2018, Investigators from the Louisiana State Police Special Victims Unit (LSP-SVU) began an investigation into the online distribution of child pornography images. This morning, Investigators arrested 41-year-old Todd Giles for charges of possession and distribution of child pornography and narcotics possession.

Investigators with LSP-SVU/Shreveport Field Office began the investigation into the distribution of child pornography images online. Through the course of the investigation, SVU determined the images were coming from an address in Houma. SVU Investigators and members of the Houma Police Department executed a search warrant this morning at Giles residence and numerous electronic devices were seized. Giles was also found to be in possession of narcotics during the course of the search.

Giles was arrested and charged with 200 counts of possession of pornography involving juveniles, 18 counts of distribution of pornography involving juveniles, possession of marijuana, and possession of methamphetamine. He was booked into the Terrebonne Parish Criminal Justice Center.

The LSP Special Victims Unit works in partnership with local, state and federal law enforcement agencies to combat child exploitation and investigate child and adult sex and labor trafficking across Louisiana.
