Terrebonne Parish Sheriff’s Office, Chief Criminal Deputy, Col. Terry Daigre, said their S.W.A.T. team was utilized to take two armed suspects into custody.

Just after 10:00 p.m. on Saturday 3-23-19, The Sheriff’s Office K-9 division was patrolling the area of Lisa Park Subdivision. A K-9 Deputy was checking a residence that was known to be vacant, and heard some subjects talking inside the residence. Due to this, other K-9 handlers assisted in surrounding the residence. They took tactical positions and attempted to call these subjects out of the residence. These commands to exit the residence were ignored.

During this time the K-9 Deputies could smell the odor of Marijuana coming from the residence. The sound of a semi-auto pistol having a round chambered was heard coming from in the residence. The suspects inside the residence continued to disobey the verbal commands to exit the residence.

A search warrant was obtained for the residence. These Deputies stayed at the residence, and members of the Terrebonne Parish Sheriff’s Office S.W.A.T. team responded to assist. Upon executing the search warrant, two suspects later identified as Blaine Luke (a 19-year-old white male) and Keagan Marcel (a 17-year-old white male) were taken into custody. They were found barricaded in a room to the rear of the residence.

During the search deputies recovered some prescription pills, drug paraphernalia, and two semi-auto handguns. The handguns had been hidden in a toilet of the room the suspects were barricaded in. It was later learned that these suspects had stolen the two firearms from a family member.
