                        DIONICIO ALMENEAREZ MALDONADO

NAPOLEONVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Dionicio Almenearez Maldonado, 48, of Native Honduras and utilizing an address of 46181 Rufus Bankston Road, Hammond, LA, in connection with his submittal of false documents to the Department of Motor Vehicles in an attempt to obtain a Louisiana driver’s license.

Sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to the Napoleonville office of the DMV on Friday after Maldonado submitted fraudulent paperwork.  Officials at the DMV became suspicious when they could not find any information on the name Maldonado submitted.

Sheriff’ deputies took Maldonado into custody and were finally able to ID Maldonado on Monday.

Maldonado was booked on a charge of:         

            *Filing or Maintaining False Public Records

His bond is set at $2,000.

A hold was placed on Maldonado by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security by Immigrations.

Maldonado remains incarcerated.
