SUBJECT: POSSESSION OF A FIREARM BY A CONVICTED FELON / THEFT OF A
FIREARM – CHARLES FAIR
BELLE ROSE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Charles Fair, 34, of 6500 Highway 1, Belle Rose, LA, on charges related to the theft of a firearm from a location near Ewell Street.
On March 11, 2019, Sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to a residence in connection with the theft of a firearm.
Deputies were able to identify Fair as a suspect and subsequently received information that the firearm may be at Charles Fair’s home.
Detectives obtained a search warrant for Charles Fair’s home on Monday and executed the same. The firearm was recovered.
Detectives had prior knowledge that Fair was a convicted felon.
Based on all those factors, Charles Fair was arrested and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:
*Theft of a Firearm
*Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon
*Warrant for Failure to Appear on a Charge of Domestic Abuse Battery
*Unauthorized Use of a Moveable
Charles Fair remains incarcerated pending a bond hearing.
