 April 8th, 2019 

On Sunday April &th, 2019 the Houma Police Department’s Narcotics Division received information of the possible location of Jakhari O.Neal Williams, 24 years old of Houma. Williams was wanted on several felony warrants from the 32nd JDC and two pending grand jury indictments regarding Drug Racketeering and Criminal gang activity. These indictments stemmed from an investigation into the criminal street gang N.F.A. where Williams was involved with the organization and had avoided capture since the January indictments.  At approx. 9:00 p.m. information was received that Williams was an occupant in a white Cadillac XTS being driven north on La. 315. Units with the Houma Police Department’s Narcotics Division, Criminal Investigations Division, and Patrol Division were assisted by the Terrebonne Parish Sheriff’s Office K-9 unit in conducting a felony traffic stop on La. 315 near Menard Rd.    

Jakhari Williams was located as a passenger in the Cadillac and was taken into custody without incident. The driver of the vehicle was identified as Dewitt Williams, 30 years old of Crozier Dr. and an additional passenger was identified as Jaylan Coleman, 24 years old of Houma. 

After taking all three occupants of the vehicle into custody they were all arrested and jailed on the following charges, Jakhari O. Williams was jailed on warrants for Failure to Appear for trial for original charges of Aggravated Flight from an officer, Possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, and Possession with intent to distribute heroin, two warrants for indictments for Drug Racketeering and Criminal gang activity as well as 2 outstanding misdemeanor warrants from Houma City Court. Williams was additionally charged with Possession of CDS I (marijuana) after he was found to be in possession of suspected marijuana when he was taken into custody. Both Dewitt Williams and Jylan Coleman were arrested and jailed on one count of Principle to Harboring a Fugitive, all three were jailed at the Terrebonne Parish Criminal Justice Complex to await bond or trial.
