Felony Arrest - Jamon Deondre Herbert

SUBJECT: FELONY ARREST – JAMON DEONDRE HERBERT
NAPOLEONVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Jamon Deondre Herbert, 25, of 179 Violet Street, Labadieville, LA, on multiple fugitive warrants.
On Tuesday, deputies went to 179 Violet Street, in an attempt to arrest Jamon Deondre Herbert. Deputies had probable cause to believe that Herbert was inside the residence, but the person answering the door advised that the suspect was not there. That person denied deputies request to search the home. Deputies retreated, kept surveillance on the home and secured a search warrant.
Deputies entered the home and located the suspect in a cabinet.
Jamon Deondre Herbert was booked on multiple warrants including charges related to a high-speed pursuit on April 9, 2019 near Napoleonville.
That warrant contained charges of:
*Aggravated Flight from an Officer
*Reckless Operation
*Driving Under Suspension
*Criminal Sanctions for Operating a Vehicle Not Covered by Security
*Speeding 31+ Miles Over the Posted Limit
*No Seat Belt
*Careless Operation
*Improper Passing
Herbert was also booked on failure to appear warrants in Assumption Parish as well as fugitive warrants from a fellow jurisdiction.
Herbert was incarcerated pending a bond hearing.
