ANGELA M. JOHNSON
NAPOLEONVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Angela M. Johnson, 49, of 137 Lillian Drive, Paincourtville, LA, in connection with the theft of money from a relative by fraudulent means.
On February 7, 2019, Assumption Parish Sheriff’s deputies responded to a complaint relating to Angela M. Johnson, engaging in unlawful activity to obtain money by using a relative’s identifying information.
Johnson is accused of opening multiple credit card accounts and accessing a relative’s account. Johnson allegedly purged that account for over $25,000 and used the funds for her personal use.
Detectives interviewed Johnson and during that interview, along with other factors, detectives developed probable cause to file for arrest warrants. Warrants were approved and Angela M. Johnson was arrested and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:
*Exploitation of the Infirmed
*Identity Theft
Johnson posted bond of $10,000 and was released.
