BURGLARY OF A RELIGIOUS BUILDING – JASON CLIFTON

SUBJECT: BURGLARY OF A RELIGIOUS BUILDING – JASON CLIFTON
NAPOLEONVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Jason Clifton, 37, of 124 Millien Dr., Donaldsonville, LA, on charges related to the burglary of a religious building in Belle Rose on or about November 15, 2018.
Detectives initiated an investigation into the burglary and determined that several items had been stolen from the religious institution. During the investigation, evidence was recovered which linked two suspects to the crime.
As a result, warrants charging Jason Clifton and Sage Clifton were obtained.
Sage Clifton, 18, of 7322 Highway 1, Belle Rose was arrested on April 5, 2019 on one count of:
*Simple Burglary of a Religious Building
At the time, Jason Clifton was incarcerated in Ascension Parish on unrelated charges.
On Wednesday, Jason Clifton was transported to Assumption Parish and booked on one count of:
*Simple Burglary of a Religious Building
Bond on Jason Clifton was set at $20,000. He was returned to the Ascension Parish Jail and remains incarcerated.
