Narcotics Search Warrant

On April 24, 2019 shortly after 9:00 p.m. Agents of the Houma Police Department Narcotics Division along with the assistance of the Uniform Car Patrol Division conducted a Narcotics Search warrant in the 8000 Block of Main Street. This search warrant was in reference to investigation into the illegal distribution of marijuana. Through this search warrant Agents were able to locate a duffle bag containing 1.76 pounds of marijuana along with vacuum sealing bags and the equipment used to package and weigh large amounts of marijuana. Also inside the residence were a Micro Draco 7.62x39mm and a Glock 27 .40 cal hand gun, which were both, loaded. Agents arrested the suspect Earl Jones III 25 years old, which he was alone in the residence at the time of the execution of the search warrant. It was discovered that Earl is a convicted felon and cannot be in possession of a firearm. Earl was transported to the Terrebonne Parish Criminal Justice Complex without incident to be booked and housed on the following charges listed.

Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
Possession of a Firearm by a convicted felon
Possession of a Firearm with a Controlled and Dangerous Substance
