On 5-30-19 shortly after 7am, Houma Police received a tip that a subject, Torrey Matthews, who was wanted for outstanding narcotics warrants can be located at a residence in the 300 block of Stovall Street. Upon arrival, officers contacted occupants of the residence and located Torrey Matthews within.

Upon making contact, officers detected the presence of narcotics within and located a small amount of marijuana, as well as a cellophane bag containing over 20 grams of suspected heroin. Houma Police also observed a bottle of promethazine syrup, as well as 2 vials of THC.

As a result of the investigation, Torrey Matthews-25 yrs. old of Prince Collins Street was taken into custody for the warrants related to narcotics possession through 32nd Judicial District Court. He was also additionally charged with Possession of CDS I (heroin), Possession with Intent to Distribute SCH I (heroin), Possession of CDS IV (promethazine), Possession of CDS I (marijuana), along with other charges.

Torrey Matthews was transported to the jail where he was booked on the aforementioned charges.
