Female arrested for arson

On June 16th shortly before 9pm, Houma Police responded to 100 Chateau Rd in reference to a disturbance. During the investigation, it was discovered that a female, later identified as Sara J. Neil-32 yrs. old of 100 Chateau Rd. set her estranged boyfriend’s clothes on fire inside of an apartment, which not only cause damage to the clothes, but also to the apartment.
As officers investigated the incident, burn marks on the apartment’s carpet as well as clothing were located. Officers also learned that a child under 15 yrs. old was present at the time of the incident. Sara Neil was immediately detained and arrested for Simple Arson. She was transported to the Terrebonne Parish Criminal Justice Complex where she was booked accordingly.
