On June 17th around 5pm, Houma Police responded to the 2600 block of Matthews Court in reference to a disturbance. During the investigation, it was learned an elderly female having trouble with her grandson, Montel Winslow-20 yrs. old of Highway 27 in Dequincy, La. and wanted him out of her home.

While on scene, Houma Police developed information that Montel Winslow had an active warrant for his arrest through Florida for Armed Robbery. Once learning this, an attempt was made to take Montel Winslow into custody and a brief struggle ensued. Shortly thereafter, Montel Winslow was taken into custody and arrested for being a Fugitive from Florida wanted for Armed Robbery, as well as Resisting an Officer with Force or Violence.

He was transported to the jail and booked accordingly.
