Vehicle burglar caught in the act

Thibodaux Chief of Police Bryan Zeringue announced the arrest of Terrance Vicks (B/M, 24 of Thibodaux, La.) for Simple Burglary (Motor Vehicle) & Resisting an Officer.
On Wednesday, July 17th, 2019, at approximately 9:47 a.m., Officers of the Thibodaux Police Department responded to the 1000 block of People Street, in reference to a vehicle burglary. Upon arrival, officers learned that a suspicious subject seen by witnesses in the area had possibly burglarized an unsecured vehicle. The owner of the vehicle in question advised that several dollars in change were missing, along with a uniquely identifiable coin.
After police processed the vehicle, the victim was in-route to the Thibodaux Police Department to follow up with the investigation. During this time, the victim observed and positively identified the suspect who was wearing the exact same clothes as seen before the burglary. Upon police arriving to the location, the suspect later identified as Terrance Vicks immediately fled from police on foot. Mr. Vicks was captured after the brief foot purist and refused to cooperate during questioning. Along with multiple other possible stolen items found on Mr. Vicks’ person, Mr. Vicks was found to be in possession of the exact uniquely identifiable coin found missing from the burglary.
Mr. Vicks was booked and charged accordingly and later transported to the Lafourche Parish Correctional Complex, where he remains on a $10,500.00 Bond.
