On 8-17-19 during the afternoon hours, Houma Police responded to the 200 block of Glenwood in reference to a subject being shot at possibly with a BB gun or airsoft gun. Shortly after handling this complaint, Houma Police responded to the area of Carolyn Avenue and Grand Calliou Rd in reference to a subject being struck in the forearm by what appeared to be a BB gun or airsoft pistol. Houma Police then responded to the area of Southdown Mandalay and Chantilly in reference to yet another report of a subject being shot at by and individual with a BB gun or airsoft weapon.

As Houma Police investigated the incidents, it was reported by all victims that the suspect was in a dark colored Cadillac sedan. Shortly after handling the Southdown Mandalay and Chantilly incident, Houma Police located a vehicle matching the description heading eastbound through the tunnel. A traffic stop was conducted, which led to the arrest of a 17-yr. old juvenile who was in possession of 2 airsoft pistols.

As a result of the investigation, the juvenile was booked on charges relative to Aggravated Assault. The Houma Police are currently looking into similar incidents that occurred approximately two weeks ago where a subject was struck by a pellet from a BB gun while in the downtown Court square, as well as two individuals struck by pellets on Grand Calliou Rd.
